I've been told that I haven't written a post in a while, so here I go!
A recent favourite of ours has been Friday nights downtown at a touchscreen sushi restaurant. Yup, you heard me right. Touchscreen. You pick your food and drinks via a little screen at the end of of the table and they magically appear. Genius! This is apparently very popular in Japan, but something that is so new and cool to us, I thought I'd share!
After loads of sushi/Japanese food and sake/beer, we hit up the nearest karaoke joint!
Here's a pic of me and Renee. She had her birthday at the Beresford Hotel on a Saturday night which is a very popular night at the bar. We showed up after 9pm which meant that there was a line around the block and we couldn't get in. I managed to get the bouncers to let me in briefly so I could give her a hug and snap this photo. Happy Birthday Renee!
Sunday funday turned into an AWESOME Sunday dinner.
A random Saturday spent in the inner West with our friend Vivian. First stop, the Eveleigh Farmers Market. We got there a little late and the crowds were thinning out, but it was great, and we'll definitely be visit again.
After the farmers market, we headed to Newtown to have a drink and play Jenga.
We ended the night in Marrickville/Enmore at a place called the Newsagency. It's basically some girl's apartment and she's converted the living room into a live music venue. We saw this band called Nick and Liesl who were phenomenal. Here's Ryan and Renee.
